Q: Will I need other supplies to build Terrain Genesis models and kits I purchased?

A: All Terrain Genesis and Hirst Arts models are easily assembled using Aleene’s Tacky Glue and painted with inexpensive acrylic paints. A list of recommended materials and tips is included with each kit. Step by Step instructions are also available for each project at www.hirstarts.com. All kits come with printed plans or step-by-step instructions.

Q: Can I order a Hirst Arts mold set, kit or piece not listed on Terrain Genesis?

A: Yes, new items, any items not listed and custom projects can be requested by contacting us directly through the website.

Q: What materials do you use to cast?

A: High Quality Dental Plaster. While some of our competitors use Hydrostone from Gypsium which has a low strength (as low as 8000 psi). We use Merlin’s Magic which has a PSI rating of 14500. In addition, we can cast using a higher strength hydrostone called Excalibur, which has a PSI rating of 18000 for an additional fee. You can choose this option in the casting materials on the product page. In some cases we also offer high quality resin alternatives to plaster.

Q: What scale are Terrain Genesis products?

A: Roughly 28mm heroic scale used for many table-top games such as Warhammer. The Small Brick mold can be used to create smaller scale structures for historical wargaming scales.

Q: Who founded Terrain Genesis?

A: Aaron Lovejoy, Alan Pyle and Shawn Green founded Terrain Genesis. We are committed to producing high quality Terrain right here in the USA.

Q: Can you ship internationally?

A: Yes. International shipping is available at checkout. If you have any questions please contact us.

Q: What method of shipping do you use and what are your shipping costs?

A: Shipping costs will be displayed upon checkout once your address is entered and a shipping method is chosen. Currently we only ship using USPS Priority Mail based on exact package weight in the United States and US Postal mail internationally.
